Ultima Steganography is an extremely easy-to-use steganography software for Windows. With the help of the program you can easily encrypt some file and hide it in a picture. Once a file is hidden in an image the saved picture is still a picture, it will load just like any other image and appear as it did before, the only difference will be that it contains hidden file.

make it portable

So I can take it from machine to machine, and so I can encrypt files on usb drives and sd cards in pictures.

Most files that "need" to be encrypted are small, but I would prefer the option of putting a large file onto a small image. Even if it's obvious there is something in the image, it's at least hidden from view and encrypted. Also, to be able to...

Final file formats limited, should have more formats e.g jpeg gif etc, Also resulting file is way too large 858KB image + 859bytes txt file results in 1.56MB file way too obvious for the trained eye. Besides encryption can achive more via cmd line an

in widows cmd line copy /B source.gif+source.zip target.gif or choose whatever file type and end file extension and source can be anything in fact using cmd line you an even hide files in mp3's or any video music format so size isn't so...

Have the program identify images with hidden files in the selection of extracting images.

If someone would forget the image with the hidden file and hid it on a folder with lots of pics. it would take time to find it.

add full range of say 4 levels of encryption and also allow the user to choose the image size from small to large , this might require zipping up the document before encyption, and also letting the user decide what type of pitcure they prefer to hid

Be able to hide data in video

A picture is simply too easy to spot unless the data added is tiny, because any image short of a RAW 10MP file is simply too tiny. Compare that to the average video where you can go from several hundred Mb all the way to 30Gb or more for Blu Ray....

Mask decryption key. Should not be plain text on screen.

Hide the decryption key with dots or other characters so it is not visible on the screen.

Add an option to insert a watermark ,so you'll still find them secret files after a few weeks. Might be useful if you have a lot of pictures on your computer or/and if you tend to forget things. :)

add an option to insert a watermark

so the user can still find his hidden files in a directory with other pics on his computer.... Not the ultimate security..but quite handy after months have gone by.
